Genghis Khan is all about rage generation and dealing massive skill damage and when used with a full cavalry army you will have a lot of fun with him – especially if you use the build that I have here for you 🙂
Genghis Khan Role
Genghis Khan strongest things are the open field and also rallying cities and objectives – and with some extra march speed on cavalry troops you will see that he does very well in doing it.
I’d even say he is one of the best commanders in the open field and also for rallying.
Best Genghis Khan Builds
To be honest with you there’s only one build that I can actually recommend you and the reason is that going too deep down the cavalry Tree isn’t worth it and the Versatility Tree is basically useless for Genghis Khan.
The whole mechanic of him is based around rage building and this gives him actually one solid build that I recommend:
Skill Rage Build
Build with RoKTalent Builder
As I said this is the build that I recommend to use with Genghis Khan and here’s how to re-build it with the order of points:
Skill Tree is obviously the first step when creating this build and Rejuvenate is your first goal here because it will give such a nice extra rage that Genghis can use so much.
After that use all the points needed to get Feral Nature without wasting any additional point on the way there.
Cavalry Tree will now be your go-to and Undying Fury will give you additional rage with every attack and is a no-brainer to get first.
Next, I’d recommend Emblazoned Shield to reduce the skill damage Genghis Khan gets because this is really useful, no matter if rallying or on the open field.
If you do open field a lot with him you also want to get Charge because this can be very useful in several situations as well.
You can potentially change one thing about this build and that would be swapping out Helberg (dealing additional damage to archer units) and get Naked Rage instead. In my opinon that’s a good deal because you will deal 2% extra skill damage but also get 2% extra skill damage but as you’re one of the commanders with the highest skill damage against a single target you probably be the one that benefits more from that and you can ignore the 2% extra damage you take.
Also, you have Emblazoned Shield that will reduce the skill damage you get so it’s a smart move 🙂
